Diabetes Diary App Reviews

Finally! Thank you!

Finally a diabetes app that lets you record blood sugar, carbs, and insulin dose etc., all on one easy to use page. Better yet, you can choose to have the app open to this "add" page, so that you can record everything on the fly without having to switch pages or create multiple records. Good graphs, easy data transfer, lots of ways to customize. Ideal for this type 1 diabetic.

Perfect

Seriously, this 2.99 app might have just added years of health to my life! Its so easy to use, works like a charm, and gives you everything you need without giving you the information overload of other programs that just distracts you from seeing the real patterns. Being able to filter variables and switch from list to graph views has allowed me to really understand the patterns and reasons for my highs and lows and allowed me to adjust my insulin levels to exactly where they work best. Thank you so much for this program. Literally, its a life-saver!

Easy to use and has options

Good app, easy to use. You can add your own info as notes and can can make your own descriptions of when such as fasting, before lunch etc. Can log where injection site was and if like me you use different insulins, you can add edit your own and select which you used. When it exports to cvs file time and date are in the same column. I would like to see the time and date seperated,as it look confusing.

New version crashes immediately. Lost all data.

Crashes immediately. I have lost all access to my data.

What a great app

This was exactly what I was looking for. It tracks everyting I need to know. Its easy of use makes it a "must have" for serious traking of your diease. Support questions were quickly answered

Missing Critical Pieces for Type 2s

I just downloaded this app less than 2 hrs ago (in my search for the easiest & best way to manage my T2 Diabetes and already Im having problems AND issues; problems with stability (20+ crashes in less than 2 hrs ... as they say on ESPN: "Come On Man!"); issues in the app design ... advanced T2s often take several types of insulin but in the Daily overview you lump all types of insulin together ... BOGUS! I need to know that I took 10 inits of Novolog AND 31 units of Levemir, lumping these together is a little like saying Ive got 15 gallons of hydrocarbons in my car instead of 11 gals of gas and 4 gals of oil. 15 doesnt tell me how far my car will go and 41 units of Insulin doesnt tell me anything about what my body is doing. Ill hold on to this app for a while and check back to see if anything has improved (being retired on a fixed income I have issues with throwing money away) ... but for now Im going back to using Glucose Buddy for tracking my data, Glucose Companion for showing my BG graphs, and CarbControl for predicting my Carb intake to calculate how much fast insulin I need before each meal ... the search goes on for "One App to Rule Them All."

One of the best...but

Great app overall. Very quick and easy to enter data; time-of-day is populated based on clock time and this is tied to all entries made at same time many other apps make u select time if day...and for each event even if entered together Would like to see better exporting of data though. App will group events done at one time (BG,carb, ins) onto one line, but this grouping disappears on export to HTML or csv. Also no way to get 24-HR averages report out of the app. Can capture graphs into photos and email which is ok. Biggest problem is cant reach developer for support??? Emailed 4 days ago w/no reply and just sent f/u which came back undeliverable. Bummer! Chris, are you there still? You have done a great job so hoping you will keep up with this app!! Tx

Almost perfect

After trying numerous apps, this one seems to be the best so far. It is easy to enter data and produce charts and graphs. So far the best app for people like me on more than one kind of insulin. My favorite, most used app!!

Almost there

This a great program almost. It is missing the ability to deal with fast and slow acting insulins separately. Also, I need to be able to enter a decimal for the correction factor, such as "3.5" rather than 3 or 4. I would be able to have tighter control that way. Keep up the good work. Thank you

Diabetes Diary

I have found this Ap to be easy to use as well as a great way to print out or send my results to the doctor

Nice app

Nice app. Easy to use. You can export all results and you can send them to doctor. You can even customize time of day and add notes. But please do UI update for iOS 7. Thank you.

Kinda kludgey

It is supposed to receive data from the Insulin Calculator app (same developer) but it doesnt seem to. Im looking for a different app to replace this one.

Replaced my Palm application

This released fixed the touch screen. Thanks Chris for the fix. Still the best Diabetes app out there. New version has nice interface but is not very sensitive to touch. Have to make several attempts to be able to make entries. Still top of the line app. Been looking for a replacement for my Palm UTS system. Only thing missing is being able to add a list of meds commonly used by Type II . I use both insulin and oral meds. Program is very easy to use.

Great App--Have been Using for years

I love this app. Ive been using it for years to record my diabetes data. Its been consistently good and simple to use and it makes it easy to share data with my doctor. I just wish I could share with apple Heath.
